The New Year
We give thanks to God for each brother and sister in the faith who make it possible for us to do the Lord’s work and share the good news to new generations of Colombians. And we thank him for the great support and leadership from the Crookall family.
We started the New Year in prayer, putting the work of Bible Art Ministries in the hands of God. We asked him for three things: (1) brothers and sisters who would pray for the work; (2) support for us as we go about the work, and addition of another staff and “more feet” on the ground, and (3) brothers and sisters who give donations to make the work possible.
Luke 18:15-17 describes how “People were also bringing babies to Jesus to have him touch them.” We have been blessed that our own children know Jesus as Lord and Saviour. We want other children to be blessed by him too. We want to bring the good news to children, to bring them to Jesus, and bring Jesus’ story to them.
Luke continues: “When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them.” Is it not strange how even those who want to spread the message find obstacles, or create obstacles? “But Jesus called the children to him and said ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these’.”
Our responsibility is given in the Great Commission, in Mark 16:15 “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.”
Jesus invites believers to be responsible for the children. We have to pray for the children, send workers to share the good news, and give offerings so the work can be done.
